Capacity Building for Teachers in Dikwa

PRIDE conducted a 4-day Gender-Sensitive Education Training in Dikwa, Borno State, empowering 20 teachers (10 males, 10 female) to create inclusive and equitable learning environments. The training, based on PRIDE’s Gender Transformation Model (GTM), focused on integrating gender-sensitive curricula, promoting girls’ education, creating safe learning spaces, and equipping teachers with inclusive teaching skills.

Key issues such as gender roles, barriers to girls’ education, and the need for safe, gender-segregated facilities were addressed through participatory sessions. Teachers were also trained on community engagement, boosting girls’ enrollment and retention, and mitigating gender-based violence risks.
